A revolutionary sensor fabric concept — embedded beneath every interior surface of a vehicle cabin — designed to deliver real-time impact data, occupant injury assessment, and immediate first responder coordination after a severe collision. We are seeking a leading global automotive engineering partner to develop this technology together.
ImpactIQ is the 4SENS proprietary concept that defines the complete chain of automotive cabin safety intelligence — from the moment of impact to first responder arrival. We are at proof-of-concept stage and seeking an engineering partner to bring this to prototype and production.
A highly-specialized sensor fabric would be installed beneath all hard and semi-hard interior surfaces — dashboards, door panels, A-pillars, seat structures, and headliners. Every surface a body part could contact during a collision is covered. The fabric is designed to be invisible, non-intrusive, and engineered for automotive-grade durability.
Upon impact, ImpactIQ would capture precise force, location, and distribution data across all contact points simultaneously. Proprietary algorithms would evaluate the data in real time to assess potential injury severity for every occupant — delivering a complete occupant picture in milliseconds, with zero reliance on human input.
ImpactIQ would transmit injury assessment data instantly via secure cellular to 4SENS infrastructure and coordinate with emergency services. First responders would arrive knowing exactly where injuries may be located — enabling faster, more targeted medical intervention when every second counts.
For the first time, automakers would gain granular, real-world impact data from actual collision events — data that has never existed before. Engineers could identify which interior surfaces generate the most injury risk, validate safety designs against real-world outcomes, and accelerate the development of safer vehicles. This would be a transformative R&D resource for every OEM.
Every collision event would generate a cryptographically secured, anonymized data record. Insurance carriers could verify the precise nature of an impact and correlate it with claimed injuries — confirming legitimate claims and disqualifying fraudulent ones. Policy holders would benefit from faster, fairer claims processing backed by objective sensor evidence.
Traditional emergency response relies on visible assessment and occupant communication — both unreliable in severe accidents. 4SENS would deliver objective, sensor-verified injury location data to first responders before they arrive on scene. Unconscious occupants, trapped passengers, and multi-vehicle incidents would all be covered by a system that never relies on human reporting.
All ImpactIQ collision data would be securely and anonymously stored by DataSENS — the dedicated 4SENS sister company built exclusively for automotive safety data infrastructure. DataSENS and 4SENS are designed to fully comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ensuring that all occupant data is anonymized, encrypted, and handled with the highest standards of European data privacy law.
